Who creates the guides?
Guides are written and reviewed by the HeelClick product team at Fear Army LTD. The team knows exactly what the app does because it designs, builds and tests the product. We do not claim clinical qualifications.
How we choose topics
We write about the decisions the app is built around: planning a night out, setting personal limits, tracking drinks and spending, leaving on time, handling social pressure and getting home. We do not publish unrelated pages simply to pull in search traffic.
How we handle health and safety claims
Claims about alcohol guidance, dependence, withdrawal, emergency help and personal safety link to named sources. We prefer accountable public-health bodies, government guidance and police or emergency services relevant to the country being discussed. Country-specific guidance is labelled as such. We distinguish practical planning advice from medical advice and state where the app cannot help.
How we review pages
- Check that the title and opening answer match the question.
- Verify product claims against the current app.
- Check health and safety links against the current source.
- Keep limitations visible near relevant claims.
- Show a reviewed date when a guide has been checked.
- Correct material errors rather than silently hiding them.
Our safety boundary
HeelClick does not estimate blood alcohol concentration, confirm that someone is safe to drive, monitor a journey, verify a taxi or dispatch help. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. If cutting down causes withdrawal symptoms or you are worried about your drinking, seek medical advice or contact an alcohol support service.
Contact and corrections
If you spot a mistake or want to question a claim, contact us through the HeelClick developer page. We check substantive corrections against the source and amend the page where necessary.
